About the role

You own the developer experience of Gradium's voice models from the first API call onward. Where our Developer Relations hire focuses on presence, events, and community, you focus on the product surface developers actually touch: the SDKs, the API ergonomics, the docs, and the reference code. Your job is to make integrating Gradium feel fast, obvious, and delightful.

This is a deeply hands-on role, working closely with product and engineering. It exists because the quality of that first integration determines whether a developer stays, and right now no one owns it end to end. You will ship production SDKs and example apps, smooth the rough edges in the API before developers hit them, and be the internal advocate for whoever is on the other end of the integration.

What You'll Do

• Own the SDKs developers build on. Design, ship, and maintain SDKs across the priority languages. Keep them idiomatic, well-tested, and compatible as the API evolves. This is production software that other companies depend on, not sample code.

• Make the API a pleasure to use. Partner with product and engineering on naming, defaults, errors, and versioning. You're the developer's advocate in the room, catching friction before it ships.

• Write docs developers actually trust. Own the quickstarts, references, and guides, with runnable samples that stay correct. A developer should get to a working call in minutes, not hours.

• Ship reference apps that look production-real. Build starter templates and example apps that show real, production-shaped integrations of Gradium's voice models, the fastest path from curiosity to a working prototype.

• Close the loop on developer friction. Triage pain from GitHub and support, push fixes upstream, and build the internal tooling that keeps docs, samples, and SDKs in sync with what ships.

Who You Are

• You build tools others depend on. You've shipped and maintained libraries, SDKs, or developer tools with real users. You understand the responsibility of an interface people build their product on top of.

• You're opinionated about API design. You have a clear sense of what makes an integration good or bad, and you sweat ergonomics: the naming, the defaults, the error messages.

• You're an excellent technical writer. You write documentation and sample code that are clear, correct, and exemplary. You can explain a technical product to a technical audience without corporate fluff.

• You're an AI-native builder. You use AI coding tools fluently to move fast across languages and stacks, and to support developers faster.

• You thrive without a playbook. You're at home in a fast-moving environment where you define the standards rather than inherit them.
